Row 1: Knit 4 rows red

Row 2: Knit 4 rows white

Row 3: Knit 4 rows red

Row 7: Knit 39 red, K 33 Navy Blue

Row 8: K 33 NB, K39 red

Row 9: Rpt. Row 7

Row 10: Rpt. Row 8

Row 11: Knit 39 white, K 33 NB

Row 12: Knit 33 NB, Knit 30 white

Row 13: Rpt. row 11

Row 14: Rpt. row 12

Rpt Rows 7 through 14 five more times until you have 13 red and white stripes and the navy blue square is beside 7 of the top stripes.

Sew 50 purchased stars as shown in picture. You may embroider the stars or use fabric paint. I used purchased plastic star beads. For a larger flag with wider stripes, increase the row repeats to 5 instead of 4.

BO in color pattern.

I slipped a large safety pin head under a few stitches in back and pinned it on my shirt. I used 5 small craft star beads.
