Scarf measures 8" by 52" long.

Materials: Lion Brand Sayelle 4 ply Worsted Weight Yarn (3.5 oz skein)

1 skein each of White (A) and Black (B)

1 pair size 8 knitting needles or size that will obtain gauge

GAUGE: In st. st. 5 sts = 1" 7 rows = 1"

When changing color, pick up new color from under dropped color to prevent holes. Carry color not in use loosely across wrong side of work.

Horizontal duplicated stitch rows are worked after scarf is completed to divide the keys.

SCARF: Starting at narrow end with A, cast on 39 sts. Work in garter st (k every row) for 2 rows. Change to St St (k1 row, p 1 row) and work 5 rows with A, ending with a p row.

START CHART: Start with Row one, knit, reading from right to left and purl back across row 2 reading from left to right. Work to completion of Row 70, then repeat Rows 1-55 once. Cut B. Continuing in St St work with A only for 14" more ending with a purl row. Now repeat chart working in reverse order from Rows 55 –1 once, then repeat Rows 70 – 1 once. Cut B. With A only work 5 rows of St St, then 2 rows of garter st. Bind off.
